Student Getaway Itinerary

This student getaway itinerary offers an action-packed adventure filled with learning, fun, and team-building activities in Chicago Northwest. Day 1:

Morning/Afternoon: 

Start your adventure at Spring Valley Nature Center and Volkening Heritage Farm. Students can explore the 135 acres of fields, forests, marshes, and streams at Spring Valley, providing hands-on learning about nature and ecology. Then, step back in time at the 1880s living-history farm, where students can experience life on a historic farmstead, with opportunities to see farm animals, gardens, and period demonstrations. Plan to bring a picnic lunch and utilize the pavilion near Merkle Cabin. 

Evening: 

Kick it up a notch at ENTERRIUM for gaming fun! With everything from basketball and air hockey to pinball and bowling, students will have a blast. Stick around for great appetizers or enjoy a full meal from their fantastic food options.

Day 2:

Morning: 

Let the kids visit the hundreds of stores at Woodfield Mall and then head over to 60 to Escape, where your group can work together to solve a series of exciting puzzles and challenges. This interactive escape room experience is sure to test their problem-solving skills and provide an unforgettable adventure!

Lunch: 

Take a break and enjoy lunch at the spacious 820-seat Dining Pavilion at Woodfield Mall. With a wide array of food options, your students can personalize their meals to suit their tastes. They can build their own pizza with fresh toppings, warm up with a flavorful bowl of pho, or sink their teeth into a classic cheesesteak. From international cuisines to local favorites, there’s something to satisfy every craving in this bustling dining hub, providing the perfect refuel before the next adventure.

Evening: 

Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament is a must! Where else is it acceptable for your students to eat with their hands? (Don't forget the sanitizer!) They’re sure to enjoy the stunning horses and cheering their brave knight on to victory in the joust.
