Whether you want to celebrate Halloween or enjoy the fall colors, the Chicago Northwest suburbs have something to offer for everyone.
Selfie WRLD
What’s the fall season without dressing up in your favorite costumes? Gather your best ensembles and head to Selfie WRLD in Schaumburg for a photoshoot! A visit is definitely an experience you won't forget. The space is home to over a dozen rooms and backdrops, each uniquely decorated. During the fall, guests can strike a post in Halloween themed booths. Visitors are able to attach their phones to large ring lights to capture the best lighting in all their pictures!
Brick-or-Treat at LEGOLAND Discovery Center
The ultimate Halloween family experience awaits at LEGOLAND Discovery Center! The Schaumburg theme park embodies the Halloween spirit with a variety of monsterrific activities. No trip to LEGOLAND Discovery Center during October is complete without helping our Master Model Builder build a HUGE LEGO Vampire! Visitors will also be treated to a brand new 4D Halloween movie, The Great Monster Chase – exclusive to Brick-or-Treat. Costumes are encouraged to all visitors!

Deep Love: A Ghostly Rock Opera at Metropolis Performing Arts Centre
Deep Love is a theatrical event for lovers of music and storytelling. Metropolis Performing Arts Centre welcomes the spooky and modern take on opera this Halloween holiday. The show is without dialogue where the characters tell the story entirely through the veil of a rock & roll concert. Deep Love has become a major musical phenomenon, with an extremely dedicated and loyal fanbase. Audience members can expect blends of modern rock, blues, and folk music, specific for each scenario and character. All are encouraged to lap, shout, and root for their favorite character throughout the entire show!

Halloween Spooktacular at Opera in Focus
The arrival of October starts the annual Halloween Spooktacular at Opera in Focus! The Rolling Meadows show features a collection of haunting classics all performed by puppets. The production includes scenes from Boris Godunov’s Mussorgsky, Gounod’s Faust and Andrew Lloyd Weber’s The Phantom Of The Opera. Patrons who attend a performance in costume during the month of October will receive a special gift backstage!

Boo! at the Zoo at Brookfield Zoo
Hop into the Halloween season with creatures and creepy crawlers at Boo at the Zoo! The Halloween-themed event at Brookfield Zoo is perfect for all ages and is sure to be a spooky great time. Make sure to wear your costumes as there are plenty of cool family photo ops to capture. Gather your ghoulfriends, little ghosts, and goblins for this fun-filled family event! The kids will leave with a sweet treat.

Fall Festival at Goebbert’s Farm and Garden
If you love apple cider donuts, then a visit to Goebbert’s Farm and Garden is a must during the fall season. Goebbert’s Fall Festival is a great place for families to enjoy a nice fall day. Come enjoy a list of animals, watch a pig race, or pick out a pumpkin! A visit to the farm is not complete without stopping by their famous Pumpkin Eating Dinosaur to witness it chomp down pumpkins. Heads up, he’s a little messy!
