What is a Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB)?
Convention and Visitors Bureaus, commonly known as CVBs, are organizations dedicated to promoting a specific destination and highlighting tourism-related activities within it. Their primary goal is to attract visitors, whether for business conventions, leisure travel, or other events, and ensure they have a fulfilling experience.

Our organization is proud to represent eight different communities; Arlington Heights, Elk Grove Village, Itasca, Schaumburg, Streamwood, Rolling Meadows, Roselle and Wood Dale. We have heard the misconception that there is nothing to do here but we completely disagree! Whether it’s catching a baseball game, learning a new dish in a cooking class or enjoying a beautiful theatrical performance, you can find it in the Chicago Northwest suburbs. With multiple highways, a variety of public transportation and free parking - getting around in Chicago Northwest is stress free. Our team has developed a collection of passport trails to challenge visitors and residents to explore and discover nearby spots, like our Chicago Northwest Cork & Tap Trail and Pizza Pass to name a few. We Bring Cool Events to Town!
Part of what our team does is look for great events to bring to the Chicago Northwest region. The Schaumburg Convention Center is a sophisticated 100,000 square foot state-of-the-art space and hosts major affairs year-round. Our area is home to unique indoor and outdoor venues! Events bring visitors from all around the world to spend money in our communities and provide great entertainment options for residents. Almost all tournaments and events are open to spectators to enjoy. By attracting visitors, booking conventions and events, and promoting local businesses, they stimulate economic activity and create jobs, paving the way for a brighter future for their community.
