Summer Youth Social Powwow

The Summer Youth Social Powwow is a moving celebration of Native American culture, youth leadership, and community storytelling. This free, family-friendly event invites guests of all backgrounds to witness the beauty and rhythm of intertribal drumming and dancing—led by and for Native youth. This gathering is more than a performance—it’s an invitation to connect, learn, and honor Indigenous traditions that are very much alive and thriving in our region.
All My Relations Pride Celebration

Hosted in partnership with the Center for Positive Change, this indoor, substance-free Pride celebration uplifts Two-Spirit and LGBTQIA+ voices through culture, community, and healing. Expect a powerful blend of traditional drumming and dancing, Narcan training workshops, and live beats from Indigenous DJ Jenny Fox—plus local vendors and recovery resources. This event is open to all and rooted in inclusion, visibility, and mutual respect.
Juneteenth in the Burbs

Harper College – Palatine, IL
Hosted by iCU Community, this educational and celebratory event honors Black history and the legacy of Juneteenth. The celebration kicks off at 2pm with a community sing-along brochure for “Lift Every Voice”. Hosted by Jasmine Minor and Bionce Foxx, adults can enjoy a range of activities, from DJ Leon Rogers to live music as well as engaging with Black-owned business vendors, and contributing to the community quilt. For the kids, there will be dedicated zones filled with a variety of activities. Plus, there will be opportunities to enjoy or participate in youth performances.
