Schaumburg, IL (October 15, 2025) — Meet Chicago Northwest is proud to celebrate the completion of the $30 million renovation at the Renaissance Schaumburg Convention Center Hotel, marking an exciting new chapter for one of the region’s most iconic hospitality landmarks. The property’s transformation enhances its status as a premier destination for meetings, events, and leisure travel within the Chicago Northwest area.
Blending modern design with functional sophistication, the Renaissance Schaumburg Convention Center Hotel has completely reimagined its 150,000 square feet of meeting and event space. The renovation introduces a stunning 100,000-square-foot column-free convention center, a grand 28,000-square-foot ballroom, and 28 breakout rooms designed to accommodate gatherings of every scale. Guests will notice refreshed details throughout — from energy-efficient LED lighting and new airwalls to redesigned Market Place concessions and upgraded exhibitor amenities. The transformation extends into every corridor and foyer, featuring new flooring, vinyl, lighting, and furnishings that give the entire property a renewed sense of energy and style.
Guests will also enjoy 500 fully renovated guest rooms, completed in July 2025, offering a refined blend of comfort and contemporary style that reflects the Renaissance brand’s modern aesthetic. View their 360° virtual tour.

Adding to the excitement, a new 900-car parking center connected to the hotel will open December 1, 2025, offering complimentary covered parking for guests and event attendees.
Looking ahead, Spring 2026 will bring even more energy to the area with the opening of Andretti Indoor Karting & Games, adding new entertainment and dining options for visitors to discover all that Chicago Northwest has to offer.
Conveniently located just minutes from O’Hare International Airport and easily accessible via major highways, the Renaissance Schaumburg Convention Center Hotel remains a cornerstone of the region — offering big-city amenities and suburban comfort in the heart of Chicago Northwest.
