Harper College’s Hospitality Department announces the addition of summer classes.

Demand for the department’s classes is exceeding capacity during the academic year and the Hospitality Management Department has responded by offering two courses:

·   FSM 109 Introduction to Food Preparation and Production

·   FSM 114 Food Standards and Sanitation

 
These two classes are foundational to all of the department’s programs and will provide students with the knowledge, skills and abilities to prepare a wide variety of foods using commercial equipment.  FSM 114 prepares the students to take the State of Illinois approved Food Manager Sanitation test qualifying the students for a 5-year state license.
 

FSM 109 meets Monday to Thursday 7:50 AM to 10:50 AM June 7 to August 1.  

FSM 114 will meet Tuesday nights 6 PM to 9:40 PM.

 
Long time Harper College Professor Patrick Beach will be the instructor for both courses.
