Chefs' Fest Returns May 11, 2010 Serves Up Savory Samples From Nearly 70 Exhibitors

Event Features Live Entertainment and Charitable Food Drive


Schaumburg, IL – (April 6, 2010)- Chefs’ Fest 2010 , the original food & beverage sampling event, produced by the Woodfield Chicago Northwest Convention Bureau, returns May 11, 2010 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Arlington Park Racecourse , Euclid Avenue and Wilke Roads, Arlington Heights, IL.


Chefs’ Fest 2010
is a multi-faceted event featuring food & beverage samplings f rom nearly 70 local restaurants. This three-hour extravaganza also serves up live entertainment from the Arlingtones barbershop choir , and piano music from Big Shot Piano Lounge of Arlington Heights . Back by popular demand, Lynfred Winery is conducting a “Wine 101” demonstration.

The event will collect non-perishable food donations to benefit the Greater Chicago Food Depository serving food pantries in the Chicago Northwest area. Last year, Chefs’ Fest attendees donated over 20 cases of food to help those in need.

Individual tickets are $35 the day of the event or $30 purchased in advance. Parking is free. Produced annually by the Woodfield Chicago Northwest Convention Bureau , this 17 th annual culinary festival provides a showcase for the northwest’s areas restaurants and hotels and is a n outstanding opportunity to spotlight local businesses and services. A simultaneous Bureau sponsored event, Hotels At the Park Executive Reception will pair professional meeting planners with member hotel partners in order to attract new meeting and convention business to the region. Hotels At The Park will round out their event by attending the Chefs’ Fest to discover area restaurants and other businesses.

Launched by the Woodfield Chicago Northwest Convention Bureau in 1993 as the Original Chefs’ Fest with a handful of local restaurants participating and some 300 attendees, the event has grown to 70 exhibitors with an attendance of 2,500.
