swapna@themeadowsclub.com The Meadows Club in Rolling Meadows is commencing work on phase two of its much awaited development. After a year of holding off due to the uncertain economy, the company is moving forward with plans for expanding its facilities. The addition of Conference rooms will supplement the existing facilities of this state-of-the-art Convention Center. Brides-to-be will be delighted to know that a lovely Landscaped Garden for outdoor weddings and ceremonies is also in the works. “We had to take a hiatus in our plans due to the uncertain economy last year”, said Mr. Madan Kulkarni, the Principal and CEO of The Meadows Club. “However, things are on an upswing now, and we are glad to be able to move ahead with our plans.”
The year is definitely off to a great start - with hundreds of impeccably executed events resulting in immensely satisfied guests. It is no surprise then that the venue has events booked through 2013. In addition to the new developments, this state-of-the-art facility has made some significant additions to its staff. Mr. Ephraime Getachew joined the company as Director of Operations late last year. With over 30 years of experience in hospitality, Mr. Getachew has incorporated improvements that will further the overall quality and impact of our events. The Meadows Club has always strived to exceed customer expectations, and guests to the many events here are apt to remember their courteous and helpful staff. Rebecca Ketelaar, who has been with the company since it opened in 2007 was recently promoted to Director of Sales. With her experienced eye for detail and friendly demeanor, she has understandably won over the hearts of clients and guests alike. “We take pride of ownership in everything we do here. Our core team members have been with us since we opened and are the primary reason for our continued success,” said Swapna Sathyan, Executive Vice President of The Meadows Club, who herself has been involved with this development since its design stages. “We share the passion to provide the best for our guests- via the venue, the food and the service”, she added. Everyone is looking forward to the additions in the coming year, including those of the art gallery and world music lounge. In the meantime, The Meadows Club continues to promote and host music and performing arts events within its banquet facilities. Jazz networking evenings are held on the first Tuesday of every month by Herb Porter and friends. Key events coming up over the next few months can be viewed online at
