New Arlington Heights Restaurant Opens for First Time on New Year’s Eve,
Day!
All meals will be offered at 10 percent discount to first-time
diners in honor of new decade
(ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL) Pamela’s Parkside Grill, a new upscale casual
restaurant offering an eclectic blend of seafood, steaks and healthy dishes in
downtown Arlington Heights, will celebrate its grand opening with an
around-the-clock New Year’s promotion – serving up dinner on New Year’s Eve, 1
a.m. breakfast for early-morning revelers and a full New Year’s Day brunch menu
from 10:30am-2:30pm. Pamela’s will offer all New Year’s Eve and Day meals at a
10 percent discount in honor of the new decade and the year 2010.
“We thought it would be fun, and fitting, to mark the start of our new
adventure at the start of the new year,” co-owner Pamela Olin-Maybloom says.
“When everyone else is winding down, we’ll just be getting started. We’ll start
the breakfast service at 1 a.m. and hopefully get a couple hours to regroup
before brunch.”
The Thursday, December 31 dinner menu will include Charcrusted Cowboy Cut
Ribeye, Broiled Jumbo Shrimp in an Asian Marinade, Chicken Cordon Bleu;
breakfast will feature everything from omelets to eggs benedict, from pancakes
to crunchy or stuffed French toast, smoked fish with caviar to biscuits and
gravy to baked oatmeal and more. The New Year’s Day brunch menu, served as a
plated meal and not a buffet, will include many of our breakfast selections
along with dishes like shrimp etoufee and beef bourguignon.
Normal hours of operation are Tues,Wed,Thurs: 4-12, Fri & Sat: 4-1a,
Sunday Brunch 10:30-3. Pamela’s will not typically serve breakfast, however
their regular Sunday Brunch may become your destination of choice!
But the New Year’s late-night atmosphere will be typical, owners Pamela and
Howard Maybloom say.
The restaurant, the latest addition to Arlington Heights’ downtown scene,
will regularly feature a creative late-night menu served up until one hour
before closing. There will be occasional live entertainment in the lounge,
Pamela’s also will have monthly showings of Chicago-area artists with “First
Thursdays” art openings. They are pleased to welcome periodic celebrity guest
bartenders. The restaurant, true to its comfortable atmosphere, will also offer
entertainment in the form of a Nintendo Wii game system, available to
patrons.
The menu regularly will feature contemporary basics like steaks, chops and
ribs, healthy eating options like grilled chicken, fish and seafood, exquisite
vegetarian cuisine and eye-catching flambé desserts. “Our food doesn’t really
fit into one culinary category. We’re serving a little bit of everything,”
co-owner Howard Maybloom says. “The same thing goes for our atmosphere. Diners
are invited to dress up – but also can come casual. We’ll offer fine dining, but
we also offer video games. It’s a fun mix.”
Maybloom and Olin launched Pamela’s with an eye on fusing their passions.
Maybloom grew up working in his family’s restaurant, studying restaurant
management at the State University of New York and culinary arts at the Culinary
Institute of America. He’s held positions in multiple New York City hotels.
He’ll serve as Executive Chef in Pamela’s kitchen. Olin, a native Chicago artist
who creates steel sculpture for galleries, corporate and healthcare environments
brought her creative touch to the interior. Pamela also teaches artistic welding
courses at Harper College in Palatine and will be managing the front of the
house.
The restaurant is located at 27 W. Campbell, Arlington Heights, IL. Hours
