Woodfield Chicago Northwest Convention Bureau (WCNCB) launches new web site and key group sales and marketing tool called, CBXchange.

The Woodfield Chicago Northwest Convention Bureau has redesigned and launched their tourism web site www.ChicagoNorthwest.com along with a sales tool called CBXchange.  The release of the new website and membership extranet is the culmination of many months of planning starting with the changes in the bureau’s destination’s identity that was launched this time last year.

“A CVB’s website plays two key strategic roles for the bureau, first and foremost, it is our destination’s storefront.” states Fran Bolson, WCNCB President.   “The homepage offers ease of navigation and clearly displays our destinations offering from an attraction, accommodations, or event vantage point.  The information is comprehensive, attractive, and concise.”  The new design also offers administrative tools for the CVB staff and membership so that the site can change with the seasons and the members can keep their offerings exciting and relevant to the visitors.

CBXchange is a new Web based communication tool that will be a key strategic advantage for the bureau’s member communities. “CBXchange is the Bureau’s proprietary system that will be used in the distribution and follow-up of leads that will enable us to convert more and more new business into the region” states Bolson.  Key advantages of the system will include the ability to monitor the hotels’ response and the status of leads and definite bookings directly from the system’s “dashboard”.  The WCNCB is offering several training Webinars, starting with their hotel partners to the advantages of this new destination communication tool.

“Where I feel that CBXchange stands out is in its simplicity.  As a hospitality community, we needed to increase the effectiveness of our communication with our many and quickly changing hotel partners.  By developing CBXchange with Links Technology Solutions, we were able to build a cost effective, user-friendly tool that addresses our needs,” states Bolson.   “The software cannot replace the value of person to person communication; however, with over 45 hotels, it certainly can help us be as effective as possible and build valuable marketing knowledge as we move forward.”
