Woodfield Chicago Northwest Convention Bureau presents Annual “Betty Bryant” Presidential Awards

Schaumburg, IL- June 20, 2008:

The Woodfield Chicago Northwest Convention Bureau recognized six active bureau members with its “Betty Bryant Award” during the Annual Meeting of The Membership luncheon on June 19, 2008 held at the Sheraton Chicago Northwest, Arlington Heights, IL.

 About the Honorees:

The “Betty Bryant Award” recognizes and acknowledges extraordinary contribution of time and energy to the Convention Bureau and devotion to the economic impact from tourism marketing and the tourism industry.

 “We needed to spend some time thanking these individuals for their dedication and volunteerism to the hospitality industry”, they certainly went over and above the expectations of service”, states Fran Bolson, President of the WCNCB.

 In 2008, the honorees are:

 -          Dan Smith, Vice-President, First Hospitality Group

-          Kristine Stabler, Vice-President, Arlington Park

-          Dave Steiner, Immediate Past Board Chair, Woodfield Chicago NW Convention Bureau

-          Marc Strich, General Manager, Woodfield Mall

-          Thomas A. Palmer, Partner, Meltzer, Purtill & Stelle, LLC

 Also recognized with a “Betty Bryant Award” for 21-Years of service and dedication

-          Lynda Claytor, Vice-President, Woodfield Chicago NW Convention Bureau

 

 About the Betty Bryant Award:

The “Betty Bryant Award” is the annual Presidents Award presented by the organization. Named in honor of Betty Bryant, long time Marketing Director for Woodfield Mall and a founding Board of Director for the convention bureau.  “Betty was the best example of community spirit and commitment to the Bureau and the local tourism industry.”
